Sourdough Taster Workshops


 

The wintery weather, well the snow mainly, foiled any attempts at gathering some foraged greens for January's workshop but I'm hopeful that we may get some for the February workshops.  See new dates below for March & April, when there will be significantly more wild foods for us to look at in relation to our sourdough.  See below for a run down on the basics of what we cover & weather permitting we will do a little bit of foraging too.

You will leave the workshops with your own starter to cultivate at home.  You'll have the knowledge, (plus notes of course), to successfully go on to to make & bake your own sourdough loaves. Throughout the winter months we will be looking at some simple & easily recognisable wild foods & how to prepare them to eat with your sourdough , as well as covering sourdough, both making up the dough & shaping & baking.  All of my workshops will give you an opportunity to experience working with different types of sourdoughs & flours & how they feel & behave.  After support will be given so if you experience any hitches you can be rest assured that help will be on hand.

A light lunch will be provided, ( I don't want you leaving hungry!), some of which you will have made yourselves during the workshop.
