New Beginnings

20 Aug 2014

Phew!  What a busy couple of weeks I've had & more ahead, with exciting times to come.  I put my flat on the market & decided to do myself a favour & take some time off to try & prepare for the move once the flat actually sells.  Good grief!  I never realised how much junk I had hoarded over the years, (emerges from pile of rubbish!!!).  I still haven't got through it all, but I am feeling slightly smug, as I have done two rooms in the flat & they were certainly the worst ones.  The next big job to tackle will be the loft, but I have enlisted the help of my daughters with that one as they have lots of stuff up there too & since neither of them reside at "Chez Vicky's" any longer, it's time they shifted their stuff out.

So, the plan with the move is that I will buy a property in Glasgow, where I can both live & work, (which is what I do now but in Oban), & I will be ideally placed in central Scotland to get about the country to different events, hence "Operation Location, Location, Location"

The business has also had a makeover!  New name, new website, new email & Stevie, (my trusty van), has even had a makeover, (I've never seen him looking so shiny, better make sure he stays that way!). So this is it, The Little Sourdough Bakery is finally officially launched.  My first event will be on the 30th of August up in Aberdeen at Bon Accord with The Crafters Roadshow & then Drygate Brewery on the 31st in Glasgow at The Urban Market.  The Urban Market is a new event & something which I think will really benefit Glasgow.  Edinburgh has several weekly markets where you can go & get local produce & crafts, Glasgow, on the other hand, does not so hopefully this will take off & be a hige success.  I'm really looking forward to being a part of it, especially right from its conception.  Exciting times.

Before then though, I am having a wee break & heading over for my annual pilgrimage to the culinary centre of The Universe, (well mine at least), Paris!  No doubt this will be mentioned several times in my next blog, but for now,

Aurevoir.
